environmental issues
wheel 1
In environmental issues for Wheel 1, we'll be reading the first part of Michael Pollan's "The Omnivore's Dilemma" (YA version). As humans, we have a lot of power to determine what kind of world we will live in; this book challenges us to realize how even our simple decisions have a big impact.
Future sessions may focus on recycling and waste management, drilling and mining, forest and ecosystem management, and political action.
wheel 2
In enviro 2 we will dive headfirst into the hugely relevant study of Global Climate Change. We'll examine the factors, the science, the media and public misconceptions, and possible solutions to this complicated issue.
